1 month old

Its late at night but I had to stop by and tell you of my milestones. I can now lift my head at tummy time and I also smile now! I smiled first at my nani and she told mommy, mommy didnt believe her so recently I just smiled at mommy as well. She was sooo excited she told papa about it.

I weigh about 9 lbs now, Dr is happy I am doing well and said I can go for a max of 7 hours once a day now without food. I havent been out of home a whole lot except for Dr appointments. Also, I love soft music playing in the background when I am sleeping or upset. I got my first cold and sneeze at times, when I sneeze itty bitty droplets of water gather outside my tiny nostrils. I just dont understand but mommy finds this cute and smiles when I do this! Mommies can be funny sometimes.

Aariv and I are getting along well most of the times. He helps mommmy trash my dirty diapers and always checks on me if mommy thinks she heard me cry and she is in another room. He also sings wonderful rhymes and songs to me. But there are times when he has to be watched. I am sure things will get better.

I am still sleeping about 20 hours a day and just wake up to eat or be changed. Or if I get hiccups. Some evenings gas gets me upset and tummy time helps.

Hello, World!

I was born on Thursday October 8, 2009; two days after my due date. My papa and nani were there to witness my birth. They found me very fair and everyone was praising my long hair. They cleaned me, took my footprints and gave me to my papa. He thought I looked just like my brother Aariv did when he was born. Papa rubbed his nose against mine when he first met me and it was so much fun! Then I met mommy. Mommy gave me a kiss and hugged me, and nani pointed to mom her kiss left a mark on my delicate cheeks :) The guys at the hospital then took me to the nursery where I was put under heat and people checked me out from outside. I got to see Aariv, nana, kaki, kaka, masi, my didis and mofi in the evening.

I came home after a 2 day stay at the hospital and I was welcomed by my didis and a new mural that they made in Aarivs and my room. It was so good to finally see the atmosphere that I had been hearing since such a long time. Since the last few days I have been spending most of my time sleeping. Awake only for 1-2 hours a day.

I saw the Doctor on Tuesday since Monday was a holiday. The Doctor said I had regained my birth weight and was doing well. Mommy was very happy to hear I could sleep for a 5 hour stretch now without eating. That means she can sleep for 5 hours straight before waking me up for food yay!

My kaki taught Aariv the song "phoolon ka taaron ka" and he loves singing it to me. He also loves singing "ba ba black sheep" and I love staring at him when he does that, that is, if I am not hungry and my diaper is clean. Faces really attract me and I love watching people talk to me. Okay, time to go eat, see you later!
